Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park
Your safari in Tanzania will be officially kicked off when your guide picks you up from the airport or your accommodation in Arusha. A quick safari briefing will be given to you. On the way to the Lake Manyara National Park, your guide will take you to Mto wa mbu town, where you will engage with the locals during a guided village tour. You will visit the traditional homesteads, the neighborhood market, and the farms during your community walk because this town is home to more than 120 Tanzanian tribes.
You will go to the national park of Lake Manyara after your experience in Mto wa mbu town, where you will check into your lodge and eat lunch. In the national park, you will also take part in a game drive where you can enjoy spotting many wildlife species, including monkeys, giraffes, hippos, elephants, hippos, impalas, and waterbucks. After your game drive, you will be taken to your lodge for dinner and the night because this national park is the only place where it is possible to see rare tree-climbing lions.
Day 2; Drive to Serengeti national park (central)
You will be driven to Serengeti National Park after breakfast at your lodge, where you may enjoy further wildlife watching opportunities across the national park’s central region. During a safari, you can see many different wildlife species among the wide-open savanna plains of this national park, which is home to around 4000 lions. Prior to beginning an afternoon game drive, your lodge will offer you lunch.
You will look for wildlife species like cheetahs, gazelles, impalas, hippos, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many others in addition to the “big 5” of lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses. After your afternoon wildlife drive, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 3; Transfer to northern Serengeti national park
As you get ready to go on a morning game drive in the center of Serengeti National Park, breakfast will be provided to you at your lodge there. To make the transfer to the northern region of the national park, you will leave with your lunches packed. You may enjoy viewing the wildebeest migration in this area of the national park from late July until mid-October. The wildebeests struggle to reach the Masai Mara national reserve, therefore they must bridge the Mara river.
Elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and lions are just a few of the various animal species that can be seen in the Serengeti National Park’s northern region. After supper, you’ll head to your lodge to spend the night.
Day 4; Full day in Serengeti national park (north)
While you wait to go on morning and afternoon game drives in the northern Serengeti National Park, you will eat breakfast at your lodge. Driving down the Mara River will be fun, and you can spot animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and hippos, among others. After eating lunch, you’ll do another Serengeti National Park wildlife drive.
Over 2 million wildebeests struggle to cross the Mara river, which harbors Nile crocodiles, during the wildebeest migration in the northern Serengeti national park from late July to mid-October. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and to stay the night.
Day 5; Visit Lobo area and drive to central Serengeti national park
On the fifth day of your safari, breakfast will be provided at your lodge as you get ready for a game drive to the Lobo region, where you will see additional wildlife. You will look for wildlife while exploring the lobo area, including lions in prides, leopards, cheetahs, klip springers, cheetahs, and leopards. Prepare for a transfer to the Seronera region or the Serengeti National Park’s center.

You will have the opportunity to descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater with your picnic lunches in order to enjoy looking for additional animal viewing opportunities. While on a game drive in Ngorongoro, you will take in the stunning scenery as you search for various animal species, including rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, hyenas, warthogs, gazelles, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, and jackals, among others.
You will also appreciate visiting many sites near the Ngorongoro crater, such as Lake Magadi, where you may see flamingos and other bird species. You will be taken to your lodge for dinner and the night after your trip in the Ngorongoro crater.
