6 Days Wildlife and Gorilla Trip
This 6-day wildlife and gorilla tour of Uganda will take you to a number of national parks, including Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi, where you can engage in a variety of activities like nature walks, game drives, boat cruises to watch a sunset in the wild, cultural interactions with the Batwa, and gorilla trekking to search for critically endangered gorilla species in a forested area.
Day 1; Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Your guide will greet you and give you a briefing about your 6 Days Expedition in Uganda on the first day of your 6 Days wildlife and gorilla trip to Uganda. You will be taken to Lake Mburo National Park after the briefing, stopping along the way for photographs, artisan shopping, and souvenir purchases. You will travel back to your lodge for lunch after your trip at the equator.
Following lunch, you’ll go on a game drive in the Lake Mburo National Park to look for various wildlife species, including zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and antelopes. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Mihingo lodge.
Day 2; Nature walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Day 3; Game drive and evening boat cruise
On the 3rd day of your 6 days of wildlife and gorilla trip Uganda, you will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive around Queen Elizabeth national park. During the morning game drive, you will have an experience spotting wildlife species in the savanna plains of this national park such as antelopes, elephants, lions, leopards, warthogs, and hippos among others.
After the game drive, you will have lunch. During your trip around Queen Elizabeth national park, you will also enjoy an evening boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where Lake Edward and Lake George meet. During the boat ride, you will spot buffalos, elephants, hippos and Nile crocodiles along the shores of the lake and also spot various bird species such as eagles, kingfishers, herons among others. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Elephant hub lodge.
Day 4; Transfer to Bwindi national park and community walk
After eating a leisurely breakfast at your resort, you will leave after checking out. You will be driven to Bwindi National Park for more activities after checking out. You will check into your hotel once you reach Bwindi National Park.
You can interact with the Batwa community, who live in the forest and rely on fruit picking and hunting in the Bwindi forest, during a community tour that you will also appreciate. You will also gain knowledge of their culture and way of life, see traditional dance performances, discover how they prepare meals using local herbs, and learn about several other cultural features. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Buhoma Haven Lodge following your Batwa excursion.
Day 5; Gorilla trekking
You’ll get up early to go to your lodge for breakfast. You will be taken to the park headquarters to begin your gorilla trekking excursion after breakfast. You will receive information on the gorilla trekking activity at the park’s main office before setting out into the dense jungle to search for gorillas.
You will explore various pathways in the dense forest as you hunt for gorillas in their natural environment while participating in a gorilla trekking trip in Bwindi park. After the gorilla trekking adventure, you will trek back to the briefing point at the park headquarters where your guide will meet you and transport you back to your accommodation. You will spend an hour with the gorillas during this time.
Day 6; Departure
your journey’s conclusion. After breakfast on the final day of your six-day wildlife and gorilla tour of Uganda, check out of your hotel and start the drive back to Entebbe with a stop in Mbarara for lunch. Additionally, you’ll eat lunch in Mbarara before continuing your journey back to Entebbe, where your guide will drop you off at the destination of your choice, making it a memorable day.
