Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to kidepo valley national park
After an early breakfast on the first day of the safari, your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and bring you to Kidepo Valley National Park. Kidepo National Park is about a 10-hour journey from Kampala, so you will have lunch en route, arrive in the park in the evening, check into your lodge, have supper, and spend the night.

Day 2: game drive and guided nature walk
The second day of the safari begins with an early morning breakfast before you head to the Kidepo Valley National Park for a game drive. While there, you’ll be captivated by the birds’ melodic, sweet calls and stunning panoramic views. You can see giraffes, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, the occasional cheetah, and a variety of birds from the window of your car, including the fox kestrel, golden pipit, greater kestrel, Jackson’s hornbill, Abyssinian scimitar bill, Abyssinian roller, chestnut weaver, and many others.Following the wildlife drive, you will return to your lodge and take a guided nature walk experience. Led by a guide and conducted on foot, guided nature walks give you the chance to explore the many landscapes of Kidepo National Park. Many animals and birds will be seen during your walk; following the adventure, you will drive back to your lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Hike Mountain Morungole and visit the IK people
he mountain. On top of the mountain, you will meet the amazing IK people living in the small local communities, encountering these people is an opportunity for you to encounter unique local activities like cattle rearing and be entertained by local songs and dance. You will descend back to the park, meet your safari driver and drive back to your lodge in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: transfer back to Kampala
The fourth and final day of your safari will begin with an early morning breakfast, followed by checking out of your lodge and beginning the roughly 10-hour trip back to Kampala. You’ll stop for lunch en route, and when you get to Kampala, someone will drop you off at your hotel or at the Entebbe airport so you can catch your trip home. Your safari of four days in the gorgeous Kidepo Valley National Park will come to an end when you are dropped off.
