Itinerary

Day 1: pickup and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve

Your safari driver, who is a representative of Focus East Africa Tours, will pick you up at the airport on the first day of your trip. Depending on when you arrive, you may head straight to Masai Mara National Park or do a quick city tour. You will see places like the Karen Blixen Museum, the Giraffe Center, and many others on the Nairobi city trip. Following the city tour, you will travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving there in the evening. There, you will check into your lodging, eat dinner, and spend the night..

Day 2: Morning game drive and cultural tour

On the second day of the safari, after eating breakfast, you will drive to the Masai Mara national reserve for a morning game drive. During the game drive, you will visit several areas of the reserve and see a variety of animals, including lions, wildebeest, hartebeests, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, and many others. The Great Wildebeest Migration, which involves hundreds of animals crossing the Mara River from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve, is the largest animal migration in the world and can be seen depending on the time of your visit.. Numerous bird species, including African fin foot, African wood owl, herons, secretary birds, Denham’s bustards, huge kingfishers, grey crested helmet shrikes, and many others, can be seen on the same game drive. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the banks of the Mara River around noon, while also taking in the sights of hippos and crocodiles swimming in the river. You will leave the park in the late afternoon and travel to the Masai settlement for a cultural visit. The Masai people, who now reside in nearby communities, used to live in the region that was designated as the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will be astounded by their distinct culture when you see these people since they have the authentic African cultureLocal manyattas help with chores related to livestock, such as cleaning the kraal and corral, grazing the animals, and engaging with the elderly. You’ll return to your lodge in the evening, eat dinner, and spend the night there.

Day 3: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi

On the third day of the safari, you will rise early and go to the park for an early morning game drive where you can see many animals, including hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos, leopards, and lions, as they feed along the Mara River’s banks. Following your game drive, you’ll return to your lodge, eat a late breakfast, then check out and leave for Nairobi. You will stop in Narok town for lunch on the way, then continue on to Nairobi. You should arrive in Nairobi city in the evening, at which point you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport to catch your flight home. Your three-day animal and cultural Masai Mara safari comes to a close when you are dropped off.
