Day 1; flight to Pakuba airstrip

On the first day of your three-day safari, take a flight to Pakuba airstrip from Murchison Falls National Park. After landing, your driver guide will meet you and take you to the lodge for lunch and some downtime as you take in the aerial views of the plants and other stunning sights.

You’ll do a wildlife drive in the savannah plains after lunch where you can see creatures including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and warthogs, among others. You will return to the lodge after the wildlife drive, eat dinner there, and spend the night there at Pakuba safari resort.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

On the second day of the three-day Murchison Falls safari, you will meet your driving guide after an early breakfast to head for the morning game drive, which begins very early in the morning. You will view a variety of animals during the game drive, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kobs, and various bird species, including the black-bellied bustard, secretary birds, open-billed stork, grey crowned crane, and goliath heron. You’ll drive back to the resort for lunch after the game drive.

After lunch, you’ll embark on a 2- to 3-hour boat trip to the base of the falls, during which you’ll have the chance to cruise close to animals like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and Nile crocodiles in the water as well as aquatic bird species like the King fisher, fish eagle, Bee-eaters, Herons, and cormorants, among others. Following the informative boat journey, you will be reunited with your driver’s guide and head back to the lodge for some downtime, supper, and the night.

Day 3: Top of the falls and departure to Kampala

On the final day of your three-day Murchison Falls safari, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driving guide at the top of the falls drive, where you can take in breathtaking views of the waterfalls, birds, and other wildlife. Once you reach the top of the falls, you will leave the park and begin the drive to Kampala, stopping for lunch along the way. Your Uganda safari will come to an end when you arrive in Kampala in the early evening. Your driver’s guide will then drop you off at your hotel or at the airport..
