Uganda Safari leads you to a wonderful discovery of the “jewel of Africa” Uganda is a landlocked nation in East Africa with a total size of 241,559 square kilometers, almost 37,000 square kilometers of which are water.
Even though Uganda is a small country, the country is endowed with wildlife, so your safari vacation there will be more adventurous and experiential. The major portion of Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa and the source of the River Nile, the second-longest river in the world after the Amazon River, belongs to Uganda.
Uganda Safaris
Day 1; pick up and drive to Bwindi
Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, welcome you, and give you a quick overview of the safari before you begin the approximately 8-hour trip to Bwindi.
You will stop along the way at the Equator to take pictures and buy trinkets before continuing on to Mbarara town for lunch. You will continue your drive after lunch, enjoying breathtaking views of the countryside, lovely landscapes, the Kigezi Hills, terraced farmlands, and plantations, among other things. Once you reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check into the lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2; visit the Batwa tribe
After breakfast at the lodge, you will leave for a Batwa cultural experience, during which you will visit a Bakiga house to learn how the Bakiga people built houses in ancient times, a medicine man to learn about the different herbs and what they are used to treat, a local granary to see a demonstration of Batwa life and to learn about hunting techniques and how the kings and locals used to live, and a Bakiga house.
You will also learn how to prepare the native meal (kalo), as well as how the Bakiga people make coffee the traditional way from coffee beans to the finished product. Learning how to manufacture the local brew and taking part in traditional dances with the Batwa as they chant songs and beat drums will be additional experiences. You will return to your lodge for dinner and the night after the cultural experience.

Day 3; drive to Kampala and stop at Igongo cultural centre
After breakfast on the third day of your 10-day cultural tour of Uganda, your guide will pick you up at the lodge. Your journey to Kampala will begin. You’ll stop at the Igongo Cultural Center where you’ll get a tour of the city and learn about Ankole culture. A visit to the Eriijukiro museum will be enjoyable. After lunch, you will continue traveling to Kampala, where you will check into your hotel.

Day 4; Buganda cultural tour and visit Kabaka’s palace and Kasubi royal tombs
Your cultural tour of Buganda will begin after breakfast at the hotel. You’ll head to Mengo to see Kabaka’s palace. Each of the palace’s four gates has a distinct purpose. You will also go to the Kasubi tombs, which are where the monarchs of the Buganda kingdom are interred. Following your tour of the tombs, you can take advantage of the opportunity to learn how to make the traditional Luwombo cuisine from Buganda, which is cooked on banana leaves. The women from the area will show you how to make the food. Your tour guide will then transport you back to the hotel where you will spend the night and have dinner.

Day 5; drive to the Karamoja region
You will begin your drive to Kidepo in north-eastern Uganda after breakfast at your accommodation in Kampala. You will stop in Gulu town for lunch during the approximately 9 to 10 hour drive. You’ll be driven to the lodge to check in after lunch.

Day 6; climb Mount Morogole and visit the Ik tribe
After breakfast at the inn, your guide will take you to the trailhead for the climb up Mount Morogole, where you will get the opportunity to meet the Ik tribe. The Ik are Uganda’s smallest tribe. Throughout the journey, you will be treated to lovely surroundings. Additionally, you will discover more about the hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Ik.
You will climb back down to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after your visit of the Ik people.

Day 7; visit Dodoth community and drive to Kotido to visit the Jie community
After breakfast at the resort on the seventh day of your 10-day cultural trip of Uganda, your guide will take you on a cultural tour where you will visit the Dodoth settlement. The Dodoth, who are a subgroup of the Karamojong, reside in the Kaabong region.
You will be driven to Kotido after your encounter with the Dodoth, which will take about three to four hours. You will visit the Jie village and eat lunch in Kotido. Following your visit to the Jie, you will drive to the lodge to check in.

Day 8; visit the traditional cattle market (if open) and drive to Moroto
Your guide will take you to the traditional cattle market after breakfast at the resort (if it is open). A variety of people comes to the market to sell and buy cattle, and it only opens once a week on Wednesday.
Additionally, you’ll travel by car to Moroto while eating lunch. On this day, you will experience spending the night in a kraal.

Day 9; visit Karamojong village
After breakfast, you’ll also go to a Karamojong hamlet and learn about their culture. Along with playing traditional games, you will also learn about the Karamojong way of life, experience traditional dance performances, view regional arts and crafts, and create basic dishes. The entire day will be spent on this cultural tour, after which your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 10; drive to Kampala
You will begin your drive back to Kampala after breakfast, stopping for lunch along the way. The tour will come to a close when your guide drops you off at your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala.
